nishith shah photo Dr. Nishith Shah, one of the pioneer arthroscopic surgeons in India, does exclusive Arthroscopy and Sports medicine work in Ahmedabad since 1988. Aash Arthroscopy center is famous in India as well as in abroad for its advanced arthroscopy procedures of knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow, wrist, hip and other joints. He also help athletes by scientifically managing their sports related injuries & advising them how to increase their physical and mental performance.

After passing in post graduation in orthopedics from Ahmedabad, India, Dr. Shah had his training in arthroscopy and sports medicine from Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston; The Cleveland Clinic foundation, Cleveland, Southern California Orthopedic institute (SCOI), LA: Hospital for joint diseases, NewYork, Baylor medical center, Dallas (all USA) & from hospitals in Austria, Switzerland and Hungary. He was the first Indian to receive ' Travelling fellowship of Arthroscopy association of North America" in 1997. He has been a faculty member in several arthroscopy congresses in India as well as abroad.

Dr. Shah has special interests in the management of complex knee ligament injuries, Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) injuries, management of pediatric knee ligament injuries, cartilage injuries of ankle etc. He also has large experience in arthroscopic management in treatment of Shoulder rotator cuff tears, recurrent dislocation & frozen shoulders. He is attached to V.S. General Hospital, a postgraduate teaching Institute in Ahmedabad for Orthopedics as an Arthroscopist for more than 20 years. He runs a very successful fellowship program at Aash arthroscopy center that trains orthopedic surgeons in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine.

He is the Founder President of Indian Cartilage society (www.icartilage.in), founder member of Indian arthroscopy society (IAS) and has also served as the president of Ahmedabad Orthopedic society for the year 2012-13.

He is widely traveled and loves nature, photography and reading. He also an avid ´┐╝cyclist.
