Dr. T.V. Raja is a consultant orthopedic surgeon. One of the first Indian surgeons to be trained abroad in podiatry and minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery. His expertise includes handling trauma patients, joint replacement surgeries, and percutaneous fixations for wrist, hand, foot and ankle fractures under local anesthesia under image intensifier. He has also been trained for all types of defamatory corrections of the foot by Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS) technique (Scarless and Stitchless).
Dr. T.V.Raja has founded the Southern Osteoporosis Research Foundation to educate and create awareness among people about osteoporosis. This initiative has been started currently in the southern region of India.
Dr. T.V.Raja has been trained by Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery in Philadelphia (USA) and GRECMIP (France) and received his diploma in minimally invasive surgery when he attended the workshop conducted in Bordeaux (France) in October 2005. He also represented India in the European Foot and Ankle surgeons in Barcelona in May 2006.
He has been trained by pioneers in foot and ankle surgery like Dr. Stephen Isham (USA), Dr. Mariano De Prado (Spain) and Dr. C. De Lavigne (France), all MIS surgeons. He is also an associate member of Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery (USA) and College of Minimally Invasive Foot and Ankle Surgery (UK). He is also a regional director Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgeons in India.
Dr. T.V. Raja is also a foot specialist at St. Isabels and a visiting consultant orthopedic & foot surgeon at Chennai Kalaiappa and Malar Hospital.
