Dr. Christopher E. Gross is a Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellow within the Orthopaedic Surgery Department at Duke University Medical Center. He recently completed his residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in 2009.
Dr. Gross has a keen interest in both research and education. Currently, his research is focusing on improving outcomes in total ankle arthroplasty and investigating clinical outcomes in hindfoot reconstructive surgery.
He has served as mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program in Chicago and has fundraised extensively for the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. He was recently awarded the Howard Steel Humanitarian Award by the Mid-America Orthopeadics Association in 2014.
Dr. Gross is interested in the surgeon’s role in global health and has set-up a surgeon exchange program for his residency and surgeons in Nicaragua.
