Dr. Panchbhavi is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a special interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Chief of Division of Foot & Ankle Surgery and Director of Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Texas, USA.
He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. He has organized symposiums and moderated sessions and has been invited as speaker at national and international meetings and as Visiting Professor at renowned Universities.
He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Techniques in Foot and Ankle Surgery and editorial board member on other reputed journals such as the FAI, JBJS, and CORR etc. He has a keen interest in promoting education and served as Chairman of the Post Graduate Training Committee at the national level in the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He continues to serve on committees in this and other organizations.
His special interests include minimally invasive surgical techniques, Lisfranc injuries, diabetic foot and ankle disorders, ankle replacement and the Ilizarov method of bone deformity correction and bone transport.
